The Transition Committee Chairman of Ekwusigo Local Government Area in Anambra State, Hon Chimezie Obi, emphasized that Governor Chukwuma Soludo places a high premium on healthcare delivery.
Speaking at Ozubulu, the headquarters of Ekwusigo Local Government Area, when he enrolled all the security personnel in the local government area in the Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme, Hon. Obi described the scheme as a well-thought-out health program of the Anambra State.
The government aimed at providing the people of Anambra State with efficient, effective, accessible, and affordable healthcare services.
He urged the people of Anambra State to enroll in the Anambra Health Insurance Scheme to benefit from its numerous healthcare advantages.

Obi, while commending Governor Soludo for his developmental strides across all sectors of the state’s economy, especially in revamping healthcare facilities across the three hundred and twenty-six electoral wards in the state, ongoing provision of public water supply, functional education with the recruitment of over five thousand teachers, and the recruitment of more than three hundred health personnel for hospitals across Anambra State.
He charged the people of Anambra State to be proactive in fulfilling their responsibilities, especially in the area of paying government-approved taxes and levies to enable the government to continue serving them better.
He maintained that all the people-oriented programs and policies of the Soludo administration will be localized in Ekwusigo Local Government Area for the benefit of the people in the area.
He used the event to call on the people to always protect government facilities in their respective areas against vandalism.
