Daramola, who spoke with newsmen in Ado-Ekiti on Monday, said that closing ranks was the only way to guarantee victory for the party in the election.
“I want to appeal to all our people, especially the aspirants, to put our house in order. That house is the APC; this is not the best time to play up personal interests.
“Let us all close ranks and play down personal interest so as to guarantee the victory of the party in the next gubernatorial election, he said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Daramola is currently the Chief of Staff to the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yusuf Lasun.
Daramola, who is also an aspirant, described himself as the best candidate that could take over government from Gov Ayo Fayose.
He acknowledged that though all the other aspirants were qualified, he remained the only aspirant who could defeat the incumbent with a clear margin.
“I have paid my dues; I possess the qualities required to make the desired change. It is also in my agenda to make Ekiti build on previous feats and pitfalls, he said.
NAN reports that the APC currently parades more than 37 governorship aspirants jostling to emerge in its proposed primaries.
