Authorities of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibadan zonal command, on Monday, disclosed that they have arrested 37 suspected internet fraudsters in Ibadan and Oyo communities of Oyo State
This was contained in a press statement forwarded to journalists by the head, media and publicity of EFCC, Mr Wilson Uwujaren.
According to the statement, the suspects were arrested at different locations and times on Friday, in Ibadan and Oyo town following intelligence on their alleged involvement in internet fraud.
The suspects include Kehinde Ayoola, Adewale Samson, Adeniran Ayobami, Abiodun Olamide, Olaoye Bolarinwa, Ajibade Ayodeji, Babalola David, Fatunbi Oludotun, Abdusalam Ololade, Taiwo Olaoluwa and Oyewole Fred.
Others are Akinboade Jimmy, Oyewole Samod, Ishola Labayo, Ayinde Ridwan, Oladokun Akolade, Adebayo Basit, Adebayo Kudus, Popoola Ayomide, Oladoja Peter, Olakunbi Ayodeji, Khalid Mohammed, Salimon Sodiq and Oparemi James.
The statement added that all the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations into their activities are concluded.
