Edo governorship election preparations are underway as the All Progressives Congress National Working Committee announced a 197-member National Campaign Council on Wednesday night. The council, which will lead the party’s efforts ahead of the September off-season election, is chaired by Cross Rivers State Governor, Bassey Otu, with Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, as co-chairman. General Cecil Esekhaigbe has been appointed as the Secretary. The announcement, made by APC’s National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu, did not include the date for the inauguration of the campaign council.
In the announcement signed by National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu, Cross Rivers State Governor, Bassey Otu will chair the team that has his Katsina State counterpart, Dikko Umaru Radda as co-chairman.
General Cecil Esekhaigbe will serve as Secretary.
The announcement was silent on the date of the inauguration of the campaign council.
