Easter: Nigeria will rise again like Christ, says Ekiti Speaker

Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Kola Oluwawole

Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Kola Oluwawole, has expressed optimism that the nation will rise to greatness again.

Pastor Oluwawole, in an Easter message he sent through his Special Assistant (Media), Stephen Gbadamosi, in Ado Ekiti, at the weekend, noted that it was instructive that “the Lord Jesus was interred in a state of imperfection, but rose on the third day in a state of perfect perfection.”

He said: “Thus if we are going to abide by the supplications of the faithful during the Lenten period, our prayer is that Nigeria will evolve from its state of imperfection after our prayers like the Lord Jesus rose to glory after three days in the tomb.”

Oluwawole said he was convinced that “the Lenten period was a period that God wanted to use to liberate the people of Nigeria”, adding that “the entire people of the county ought to key into the blessings of the period for them to come to pass in the affairs of the nation.”

He said: “While I congratulate all the people in Moba Local Government Area of the state, the entire Ekiti State and the nation in general, on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebrations, I want us to believe that from the current Ashes, our country will rise to live like our Lord Jesus Christ did unto glory.

Our prayers have been answered. We need but a little more time to endure.

“The Bible said this Egyptians you see today, you will see them no more tomorrow. Yes, that shall come to pass in the story of Nigeria. We shall be liberated.

“My prayer is that when the plenty of Syria shall avail, none of us will be found wanting. Let us be a little patient.

GOD is in control of the affairs of Nigeria. We only need to be faithful. I congratulate you again for witnessing yet another anniversary.”
