Easter: Lagelu residents in Ibadan lament ‘partial’ darkness

RESIDENTS of Lagelu estate, Felele, Ibadan are presently in a state of ‘partial’ darkness as there has been low voltage for about two weeks.

The situation which has been lingering for quite some time has left residents frustrated as neighbouring houses have full voltage.

While speaking to one of the house owners affected, he made it known that fellow landlords and resident have lodged complain to the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) and they are yet to come rectify it.

‘’We’ve been to the nearest IBEDC to lodge complains but there has been no reaction, we actually went there earlier cause this is not the first time it’s happening and they came to fix it, but this time around there has been no response from them and considering the Easter holiday we are not so certain they will make it until after the Easter break’’.

A tenant living in the estate also lamented the inconvenience the circumstance has caused adding that access to portable water has been difficult.

They however appeal to IBEDC to put a permanent solution to this malady.
