
YOUTHS from Kogi West senatorial district in their hundreds on Monday trooped to the street of Lokoja, the Kogi State capital to celebrate the decision of the Federal High Court over the recall of the senator representing the district, Dino Melaye.
The youths, some of whom were on Okada, while others trekked, chanted anti Dino songs as they went on the procession round the town.
Apart from that, the youths also carried various placards with inscriptions like “Dino must go”, “No to bad representation”, ” Kogi West needs responsible representation ” among others.
The spokesperson of the group, Sunday Ilugunka, said the judgment had brought a ray of hope for the people of the seven local government areas that made up the senatorial district.
He said with the judgment the people would now pursue the recall exercise vigorously and ensure that Melaye is removed from the upper chamber of the national assembly.
According to him, the people of Kogi West, as law abiding citizens of the country would mobilise the constituents for the recall of the All Progressives Congress (APC) senator.
