A vote of confidence has been passed on Delta state governor, Sheriff Oborevwori and his deputy, Monday Onyeme by political leaders and party faithful of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Oginibo in Ughelli south council area of the state.
The confidence vote was also extended to the speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo as well as the state commissioner for works in charge of urban and highways, Comrade Ruben Izeze.
Moving the motion at the Oginibo residence of Comrade Izeze which was attended by PDP members from other Ughievwen communities and those from Ewu and Olomu kingdoms, in the spirit of Easter celebration, the party’s top notcher, Chief Andrew Desi commended the governor for the way his M.O.R.E Agenda is impacting positively on the lives of Deltans, describing his administration as one with human face.
According to Chief Desi, the Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme received the honour for being a worthy and progress-driven deputy to a visionary governor while the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, received the confidence vote for the way they are performing their constitutional responsibilities as leaders of the 8th assembly and collaborating effectively with the governor in driving the M.O.R.E Agenda.
And for the works commissioner, Comrade Izeze, the leaders commended him for the way he is transforming the Ministry of Works, championing the construction of enduring and quality projects in the state in accordance with Gov. Oborevwori’s vision as encapsulated in the M.O.R.E Agenda.
The motion was seconded by Ochuko Mejire, the immediate past councillor who represented Jeremi Ward 2 in Ughelli South Legislative Arm, Hon Luckyson Oniyan which was subsequently and unanimously endorsed by everyone present.
Highpoint of the meeting was an indigene of the community, a Councilorship aspirant for Jeremi Ward 2, Comrade Christian Ushovwitode, presenting a portrait to Comrade Izeze in appreciation of the way he legislated robustly in the State House of Assembly for 8 years and his sterling performance so far as Commissioner for Works in charge of highways and urban roads.

In his speech, Izeze thanked the people for coming to celebrate Easter Sunday with him, stating further that the administration of Oborevwori was committed to transforming Delta State in a way never seen before.
The Chairman of PDP in Ughelli South, Hon. Michael Oshetigho, applauded Izeze for being a pillar of strength to PDP members in Oginibo and Ughelli South.
