For talented ace broadcaster-cum-musician, Dele Adeyanju, 2018 seems to be the beginning of his best years with the acceptance and overwhelming support his brand has received.
Adeyanju, who is also the Head of station, Lead City FM of Lead City University Ibadan, launched his Agbaletu Senior Citizens Club earlier, which has become a brand and has continued to enjoy massive following, cutting across listenership from all over the world.
The programme, which has become the toast of many since July 2007 on Radio Nigeria, Gold FM Ilesa, Osun State, has taken another creative dimension to cater for the growing expectation of its teeming fans that are mostly elderly people and music lovers.
However, to mark his evolution and growth over time, the bilingual presenter is set to release his fifth album entitled: “Renaissance” in December.
According to the musician, the creative work was to bring back the memories of the works of foremost artistes in the weight of Ambrose Campbell, Julius Araba, S. F. Olowookere, Dele Ojo fusing Afro Pop and Dance on deep Yoruba philosophical lyrics and some humour into a blend he described as Afro Danz.
The 13-tracker album produced by Prodigy, Bolaji Oguntokun (aka Blango), include Asa, Bosi Corner, Visa, 6 feet and others, adding “The album project has been described as a real-time travel experience, bringing back Faaji and Sowanbe, riding in on the back of sophistication, technological advancement and absolute modernity. Renaissance cuts across all ages and every category of music lovers. ‘This music album is a masterpiece,” Adeyanju said.
