Medical expert and Ekiti-born philanthropist, Dr Ademola Tosin Ojo (DATO), has received two prestigious awards in recognition of his humanitarian contributions and community development initiatives as Nigeria marked its 66th Independence anniversary.
The first award was presented to Dr Ojo on October 1, at an event organised by Elitist Media in Victoria Island, Lagos State, where he was honoured with the Distinguished Nigeria Award.
The ceremony attracted members and supporters of the DATO Foundation, who turned out in large numbers to celebrate the philanthropist and show their support for his contributions to humanity and community development.
The second recognition came in Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa, where Ojo received the WWMRA Award at a ceremony organised by the Mission African Organisation.
Speaking on the recognitions, Ojo expressed appreciation to the organisers of both award ceremonies for acknowledging his efforts and supporting his community-oriented projects.
He reaffirmed his commitment to serving humanity, stressing that there was no greater satisfaction than making a positive difference in people’s lives and putting smiles on their faces.

Ojo, who is widely known for his humanitarian interventions and community development initiatives, has continued to support programmes aimed at improving the well-being and economic empowerment of members of his community.
He is also the organiser of the forthcoming Farmers’ Summit, scheduled for October 22. The initiative aims to promote agriculture, empower farmers, and contribute to food security and sustainable development.
The double recognition, according to observers, further underscores Ojo’s growing impact in humanitarian service and community development, both in Nigeria and among Nigerians in the diaspora.
