The Prelate of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim (ESOCS), Elder Dr David Bob-Manuel (Orimolade IX), has charged the Federal Government on proffering solutions to problems beweilding the country.
The Prelate, fondly called Baba Aladura, said this at a press briefing organised by the leadership of the church to unveil the logo, theme, song and other plans for the ministry’s centenary anniversary in 2025, and also commemorate the 7th year anniversary of the Prelate’s induction into office, as well as the organisation’s 99th anniversary.
Addressing newsmen in Lagos, on Saturday, the Prelate, said Nigeria, despite rich in diversity and resilience, is presently facing a socio-economic crisis.
He suggested that the government should address “frontally all issues the youths were bitterly complaining of, in order to reduce the consistent call for national protests.
In addressing the issue of insecurity, he urged the government to address this issue of criminality, ethnic and religious conflicts. According to him, the government should endeavour to provide jobs to Nigerian youths.
“I also implore the government to build strong military and paramilitary institutions and increase the funding to the police who are to manage internal conflicts,” he added.
Speaking on Bola Tinubu’s economic policies and the rate of unemployment, Bob-Manuel said: “I implore federal and state governments to urgently implement social welfare schemes that would protect the vulnerable population from the impact of higher fuel prices. I encourage the government to facilitate the repairs of all moribund refineries in Nigeria, and facilitate the repairs of all the moribund refineries in Nigeria.”

Speaking at the event, the president of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Archbishop Daniel Okoh, urged members of society to tell the truth always, saying: “The truth remains the truth any day, any time. There is no old or new truth. It must be told. That is what will save us as a people – country. Let us stop deception. There is no alternative to the truth.”
It will be recalled that the Cherubim and Seraphim Church was established by His elect, Saint Moses Orimolade Tunolase on September 9, 1925.
