The ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) party in Sokoto State has commended President Bola Tinubu for giving the state an additional ministerial slot
Recalled that the President, in his recent cabinet reshuffle, recently nominated the former Minister for Police Affairs, Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi, as the Minister of State for Labour while also redeploying Muhammad Bello Goronyo from the Ministry of State for Water Resources to the State for Works.
Speaking while addressing newsmen in his office on Friday, the state party chairman, Isa Sadiq Achida, said the act has further demonstrated the President’s love and consideration for those who toiled towards the success of the party at the polls.
“It is also an indication of his confidence in the leadership qualities of our respected leader, Senator Aliyu Wamakko, as well as our resourceful, courageous and hard-working Governor, who is positively transforming and repositioning Sokoto State.
“The people of Sokoto State, particularly members of our great party, the APC, are confident that the programmes and policies of the federal government under the able leadership of Mr President will take Nigeria to greater heights.
“The construction of the over 1,000-kilometre Sokoto – Badagry superhighway, for which the groundbreaking was held on Thursday, is aimed at further connecting our nation, enhancing our infrastructure, and creating more opportunities for our people.”
The chairman further disclosed that the federal government is also undertaking several development projects in the state, “including the reconstruction of Sokoto – Gusau – Zaria road and numerous Federal Housing projects, among others.”
He said the appointment of two ministers from the state has not only spoken volumes about the high esteem to which the President holds the state but also put shame on the party’s detractors.
We have many reasons to be thankful to God for vindicating us and to commend our leaders, Senator Aliyu Wamakko and Governor Ahmed Aliyu.
The party, however, passes a vote of confidence on President Bola Tinubu, the state leader of the APC, Senator Aliyu Wamakko, as well as the state governor.
