The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Akoko North East/Akoko North West Federal Constituency by-election, Ife Ehindero, has assured the people of the area that priority will be given to the welfare and security of the people if elected on Saturday.
Ehindero, who gave this assurance during the grand finale of the party’s campaign held at the Cenotaph ground in Ikare Akoko on Thursday, stated that he would embark on various projects to upgrade the standard of living of the people.
He disclosed to the people that the well-being of the people had always been his desire, expressing his commitment to bringing fresh ideas for the growth and development of the federal constituencies.
He explained that the former occupant of the seat, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who had been appointed as a federal Minister, brought life to the federal constituencies with developmental projects, stressing that he was ready to replicate his hard work if elected.
He said, “No doubt, our people want growth and development, and I am ready to prioritize their welfare with fresh ideas. Our programs are enriched with what would put a smile on the faces of our people in the constituencies.
“So, by the grace of God, I am going to win, and the victory will be for the benefit of our people because the former occupier of the seat did well. I will surely replicate his good work in the National Assembly by attracting development.”
Speaking, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who was at the campaign ground with members and stalwarts of the APC led by the State Chairman, Ade Adetimehin, emphasized the importance of collective support for Ehindero ahead of the election exercise.
According to him, the ruling party cannot afford to lose the weekend election, noting that grassroots mobilization is also important in securing victory for the APC.
“This is an election that we must all rally and queue behind our candidate on Saturday by ensuring APC wins. Ife Ehindero is our own, and he must win,” the governor said.
Among the places visited were the palaces of the Olukare of Ikare Akoko, Oba Akadiri Momoh, and the Owa-ale of Ikare, Oba Adeleke Adegbite-Adedoyin, who took turns to bless Ehindero ahead of the election.
