It was a night of glitz and glam as Afro pop singer, Burna Boy, celebrated his 28th birthday with family and friends at a private birthday dinner three days ago.
The celebration came on the heels of his victory at the just-concluded BET Awards where he bagged the award for Best International Act 2019. Burna Boy has been getting a lot of buzz in the last one year as his career has remained in the spotlight for the good reasons.
From winning the BET award, to staging sold-out concerts across the globe and emerging Pepsi Ambassador in Nigeria and also dropping hit songs, Burna has emerged as the most talked about Nigerian artiste in 2019, a position that was once dominated by Davido and Wizkid.

At the gathering that had his friends and family members including his parents and grandparents, Burna said his goal is to remain on top of his game and put in more work and enjoy the good life. He took out time to appreciate his mum for her support over the years, adding that “nothing could be compared to the joy of having a supportive mother.” .
The evet also attracted Burna’s girlfriend, Stefflon Don; representatives from Star and industry friends like Dbanj, Korede Bello, Phyno, Kaffy, Olisa, Zlatan, DJ Lambo, Peedipicasso, Poco Lee, Toolz O, Slim case, VJ Adams, Moet, Jimmie, Efe Omoregbe, and Chopstix.
Highlight of the evening was Burna Boy’s grandparents cutting his birthday cake with him, as they prayed for and blessed the artiste. His grandfather declared that Burna’s next award will be a grammy, and the guests responded with a resounding “Amen!”.
The birthday dinner also served to celebrate Burna Boy’s victory at the 2019 BET Awards, where he bagged the award for Best International Act 2019.
