Chairman Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, Elias Mbam, has described President Muhammadu Buhari as a gift to Nigeria.
Mbam stated this on Friday while celebrating the president on his 79th birthday.
According to Mbam, the government of President Buhari has through numerous social intervention programmes impacted positively on the lives of rural people, farmers, market women, traders and entrepreneurs.
He then noted that the history of Nigeria cannot be written at any time, without mentioning President Buhari’s intrinsic desire to see Nigeria grow to a nation where every Nigerian has reasons to be proud.
He said, “My dear President, it is my honour to write to congratulate you as you clock 79 today.
“Your Excellency, the history of Nigeria cannot be written at any time, without many mentions of your intrinsic desire to see this country grow to a nation where every Nigerian has reasons to be proud. On your inauguration in 2015, you initiated policies that have reshaped the perception of this country in the eyes of the world – that which is ready and working to curb and kill corruption. You injected discipline into the system and created policies that in the end will bear fruits that reposition Nigeria’s economy.
“Sir, your government has through numerous social intervention programs impacted positively on the lives of rural people, farmers, market women, traders and entrepreneurs. In the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, when the world has been brought to its knees, your government quickly assembled the best team of professionals and policy strategists to ensure that we scaled the hurdle, your efforts in this regard continue to make our country safe for every Nigerian in this troubling period.
“Sir, your life is a gift to Nigeria and as you mark yet another birthday, I, on behalf of members, management and staff of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission felicitate and congratulate you. It is our prayers that God Almighty shall continue to keep you in good health and strength, that He continues to increase you in knowledge to not only administer this country but to be able to advise the next leaders of Nigeria and steer them on the right path”.
