THE Buhari Support Organisation (BSO), Sokoto state chapter, has cautioned people against inciting statements by some political party chieftains and supporters in Sokoto state.
A statement signed by BSO Publicity Secretary, Malam Aminu Faruk and issued to newsmen on Thursday in Sokoto described inciting statements as uncalled for, capable of leading to restiveness.
He revealed that some politicians were quoted saying that the March 9 election will be a war and whoever died in the battle should be pushed aside.
“This foul language from supposed leaders at this critical period is unfortunate and must be tackled to avoid casualties during the election,” the statement said.
BSO appealed to political parties to consider Nigeria’s constitution and the electoral act paramount as the documents provided for every person an enabling space to exercise his civic right of voting during elections.
