Stanbic IBTC has reinforced its commitment towards the development of female entrepreneurs with its continued engagement through the Blue Blossom.
Blue Blossom is a community of women focused on saving efficiently, diversifying their investments, building sustainable businesses or careers, and protecting their wealth and families while connecting with other women in the community.
Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc at its annual women’s event tagged Bloom Weekend celebrated women in its Blue Blossom community, which featured several components including a yoga session, village market, the Ladies at The Table Empowerment Series (LATTES), an all-day trade fair, and Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SME) masterclasses.
In her opening remarks, Nike Bajomo, Executive Director of Business Development at Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers, noted that the primary goal is to celebrate, empower, and inspire the women within the vibrant Blue Blossom community.
“As part of the activities marking the first Bloom Weekend, the Ladies at the Table Empowerment Series (LATTES) stands out as a landmark event dedicated to forging meaningful connections and fostering growth. This annual roundtable is more than just an event; it is a strategic gathering to enhance brand relationships with existing patrons and potential customers. It also serves as a vibrant arena for impactful conversations,” she said.
On her part, the Head of Enterprise Banking, Stanbic IBTC Bank, Mrs Olajumoke Bello, emphasised women’s indispensable contributions to societal progress and drummed the necessity to stand beside women and aid them in surmounting the obstacles that frequently obstruct their path on the journey to attaining financial prowess.

Experts at the event called on women to seize opportunities present in communities that cater to their development.
The keynote speaker, Mrs Bunmi Oke, the Chief Executive Officer/Lead Consultant, Ladybird Advertising Limited, tasked women to prioritise planning towards achieving whatever they want across all verticals of their lives be it careerwise to family.
“Always be prepared because time, chance, and opportunity come in a wrapping paper of hard work. Market yourself because people have to know what you stand for and don’t be afraid to be yourself,” she said.
She added, “We as women must always support ourselves, we must realise that it is a privilege and with privilege comes opportunity and that’s why we do programmes like this, to give back.”
Olajumoke Bello, Head of Enterprise Banking at Stanbic IBTC Bank, highlighted the indispensable contributions of women to societal progress while stressing the necessity of supporting women in overcoming the obstacles that often impede their journey to financial success.
