Blingz Event Awards (BEA), which according to its organisers, is the largest gathering of influencers in Oyo State and the most credible, creative and consistent award platform in South West Nigeria, has announced its sixth edition of its awards. The event will take place on Sunday, April 23 at Dayland Event centre, Ibadan.
According to its convener, Akintola Ayinde, “Blingz Event Awards is a prestigious platform that celebrates creativity and recognises outstanding contributions to the events and entertainment industry. For the past five years, Blingz Awards has set the pace in the industry, with each year outperforming the last. The awards have promoted healthy competition and quality events in the awards industry having given over 300 awards”.
This year’s event will be hosted by the award-winning Nollywood actress, Aisha Lawal.
Ayinde said, “The Blingz Awards is a year-in-review of events and entertainers who have done beyond the ordinary. We send out nomination forms to a hundred key stakeholders with vast knowledge in the industry whose nominations can be trusted. The Blingz team has no hand in the selection process, and nominees are selected solely on merit. As a matter of fact, a nomination for Blingz Awards is a proof of such nominee’s hardwork and excellent contribution to the events and entertainment ecosystem; earned not bought. All nominees, regardless of whether they emerge as the winner of their category or not, are treated as VIPs, and their hardwork and excellent contribution are celebrated.
“Six months after the Blingz Event Awards, the CSR part of BEA, ‘Unriddle Conference’, seeks to give back to the society. It brings together top entrepreneurs, some of whom are winners of BEA, to impact up-and-coming (young) entrepreneurs, those who will continue to uphold the standard and get disruptively creative to achieve more. The next ‘Unriddled Conference’ will be its sixth edition”.
