Blind Audition: Yemi Alade, Waje, Falz eulogize, berate Contestants’ performances at The Voice Nigeria

Yemi Alade, Aituaje Iruobe aka Waje and Folarin Falana aka Falz have berated and showered encomiums on the performances of the contestants during the blind edition of The Voice Nigeria competition.

Tribune Online gathered that the appraisal is a critical determinant taken into consideration prior to the enlistment of the contestants into any of the judges’ team.

The Judges were thrilled by the performance of one of the finalists of the first season of Nigeria Idol, Naomi with her rendition of Paul Adam’s hit song, ‘Every­thing I do’.

The 29-year-old Naomi, who was showered with encomiums, eventually settled for team Falz, thereby becoming the fifth member on his team with 20-year-old Kpee Okoro and 22-year-old Tamara Ebelike.

Another Contestant, Blessing Ucheonye took the side of Darey Art Alade despite the coaches- Darey, Waje, and Yemi Alade’s comments on the need for the contestant to improve on herself in all areas of ramifications.

Meanwhile, Some contestants like a foot­ball coach, cum singer, and songwriter, Paul Mogbolu, Ukraine-trained medical doc­tor cum singer, Alade Kolade, and 32-year-old Ifeoma Utomi performed below optimum; hence, they were not appealing enough to the judges to get another turn into their teams.

Speaking on the talent hunt show, Group Head, Marketing & Corporate Communications, FirstBank, Folake Ani-Mumuney, who expressed delighted to be the lead sponsor of The Voice Nigeria, reiterated that its partnership is hinged on the Brand’s passion to empower and invest in our youths as it has given voice to the young and indeed all Nigerians for the past 126 years.
