Bauchi SUBEB reiterates commitment to enhancing basic education

The Executive Chairman of the Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Alhaji Adamu Mohammad Duguri, has expressed his commitment to enhancing the basic education sub-sector by providing a conducive learning environment in the state.

The Executive Chairman made this statement during the flag-off of the establishment of Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA) Mega Model Primary Schools in Bauchi State.

Represented by the overseeing Director of Administration and Human Resources, Alhaji Dauda Adamu Yashi, the Executive Chairman stated that the Mega Model Schools will be built in Kobi, Ibrahim Bako in Bauchi South, one in Misau in Bauchi Central, and another in Katagum in Bauchi North.

He explained that these projects are part of the Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA) programme aimed at enhancing enrollment and reducing the number of out-of-school children in the state.

He also mentioned that the Model Schools will each have 20 classrooms equipped with modern facilities and called on the contractor to adhere to the project’s specifications.

In response, the Project Engineer, Mustapha, who is overseeing the construction of the Kobi Model Mega Primary School, assured that he would comply with the agreed terms of the contract.

The Chairperson of Bauchi Local Government, Mahmoud Babamaji Abubakar, and the Emir of Bauchi, represented by the District Head of Bauchi Town, Alhaji Nuru Adamu Jumba, expressed their appreciation to SUBEB and BESDA for these significant strides, which they believe will greatly address the issue of out-of-school children in the state and improve access to quality education.

The project highlights a collaborative effort by SUBEB and BESDA to uplift basic education standards in the state.
