The Bauchi State Government, through the Ministry of Natural Resources, is set to establish synergy with mineral traders, vendors, and processors to ensure sanity in the sector and enable operators to maximize the benefits of their presence in the state.
This initiative aims to streamline the exploration, exploitation, and marketing of minerals across the state in line with best practices.
In this regard, the government, through the Natural Resources Ministry, has invited all tin-shed operators, mineral vendors, and processors to participate in an orientation exercise.

The exercise is intended to properly document and authenticate their operating entities, whether individuals or companies, for data records and the issuance of Tax Identification Numbers (TIN).
To align with this new development, the state is undertaking this exercise to foster and boost friendly relationships, improve revenue generation, provide flexibility for tin-shed activities, and ensure the cessation of all illegal activities that could lead to insecurity and other vices in the state.
As agreed by both parties, the exercise is scheduled to commence on Monday, July 22, 2024, and will last for three months, starting from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on working days, as stated by Saleh Umar, I/O, MNR.
