Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir has solicited for collaboration from international development partners and donor agencies in the state for good governance.
The Governor made the call Friday at an interactive session with International Development Partners and Donor Agencies working in the state held at the Council Chamber of Government House Bauchi.
Bala Mohammed said that the session was part of his administration’s efforts to ensure a mutual working relationship between government and the development organizations.
The Governor also said that considering the contributions of the development partners and donor agencies in providing social services, the need for the state to seek their support has become imperative in order to ensure improvement in critical sectors of the state.
He noted that the interactive session would afford him the opportunity to know areas of interventions so as to ensure timely and prompt release of counterpart funds.

Bala Mohammed further said that to ensure effective implementation of his blueprint geared towards improving the well being of people of the state, working with international organizations would be given the desired priority by the present administration in the state.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary of the State Budget and Planning Commission, Alhaji Yahuza Adamu who led the development partners and donor agencies on the visit, applauded the governor for initiating the session.
Yahuza Adamu expressed optimism that the support sought by the governor from the development partners would no doubt address the challenges affecting some critical social services in the state.
