Bauchi State Government has expressed its determination to overcome the challenges affecting the smooth operations of construction industries in the state in order to revamp the economic status of the state and make it investor-friendly.
The determination was expressed by the State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed at the graduation ceremony and presentation of Tools and Testimonials to the 2nd Batch of N-POWER Build Beneficiaries held at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi on Thursday.
The Governor who was represented by the State Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Nasiru Yalwa, said that the move was part of his administration’s desire to ensure the engagement of unemployed youths into various useful ventures.
The Governor also said that to provide youths with job opportunities, the present administration in the state would support youth empowerment especially in the areas of agriculture and skills acquisition.
He further reaffirmed the determination of his administration towards upgrading the technical facilities in order to provide the required manpower in critical sectors of the economy.

Bala Mohammed who expressed gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari for coming up with the initiative said his administration deems it necessary to key into the programme so as to improve the living condition of the citizenry.
In remarks, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Social Investment Programme, Alhaji Madaki Ahmed Gololo noted that the N-POWER Build comprises of Automobile, Agric-tech, Carpentry and Joinery, Electrical installation, Masonry, Hospitality as well as Plumbing and Pipefitting.
Represented by the State Coordinator, Sani Musa, Madaki Gololo disclosed that, Bauchi state has a total number of 1,874 N-power build beneficiaries that were trained in 11 centers across the state.
The Special Adviser explained that the N-power build is a vocational training component of the National Social Investment Programme which is dedicated to the training and certification of unemployed Nigerian youths aimed at building the highly competent and skilled workforce of technicians, artisans and service professionals.
Madaki Gololo also said that the federal government has invested over N5 billion to acquire the required tool kits, safety gears, training consumables and direct investments as training tuition and manual development in addition to the N2.4 billion set aside for the payment of N10, 000 as a monthly stipend to the trainees.
