Bauchi CAN felicitates Muslims at Eid-el fitri, commends peaceful atmosphere

Chairman, Bauchi State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev Dr Abraham Damina Dimeus, has felicitated the Muslim Ummah in the state for the successful completion of the month of Ramadan fasting, culminating in the Eid-El Fitri Salah.

The CAN Chairman, in a goodwill message, stressed the importance of acts of worship to God, as was done by the Muslims during the period of fasting, opining that it had brought them closer to God.

He called for tolerance, as was demonstrated during the fasting period, stressing that without tolerance for each other, there would not be peaceful coexistence, as is preached by the two major religions.

Abraham Damina commended the State Governor, Sen Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, for creating an enabling environment for peaceful coexistence in the state, a development he said has promoted growth and development.

He also commended the Governor for promoting religious harmony by ensuring that each side of the divide got the required attention and support of the government through infrastructure development and governance.

The CAN Chairman also commended the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, for being a father to all, irrespective of religious differences, stating that the Christian community has enjoyed his fatherly role and support.

He then reiterated that the Christian community will continue to be supportive of the state government and the six emirates in the state for the good of the people.

In the same vein, the Zaar Development Association (ZDA) Worldwide, on behalf of the entire Zaar (Sayawa) community, extends warm felicitations to Sen Bala Mohammed, Executive Governor of Bauchi State, for the successful completion of the 2025 Ramadan fasting and the Eid-El Fitri Salah.

The ZDA also felicitated the Deputy Governor, Right Honourable Auwal Muhammad Jatau, Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Abubakar Y. Suleiman, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr) Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, the Emir of Bauchi and Chairman of the Bauchi State Council of Chiefs, and the entire Muslim Ummah.

Engr Isuwa Galla, ZDA President Worldwide, in a statement he signed and issued on Monday, wrote, “On the successful completion of this year 2025 Ramadan fast, we wish you all ‘Barka da Sallah.'”

He added, “May this blessed occasion bring peace, joy, and prosperity to our state and the entire Muslim world.”

Isuwa Galla commended the relative peace in the state, attributing it to the fairness and justice displayed by the State Governor, Sen Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, who he said has displayed religious tolerance and inclusiveness.

He assured that the Sayawa nation will continue to be law-abiding and supportive of the administration in ensuring that peace continues to reign across the state.
