Global Climate Change Support Organisation (GCCSO), a non-governmental organisation in Bauchi state, has been urged to prioritise teamwork in its activities in order to achieve the set goals and objectives effectively.
The advice was given by the State Project Coordinator of Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL), Dr. Ibrahim Kabir.
He was speaking during an interactive meeting between ACReSAL and GCCSO aimed at establishing a collaborative relationship to support ACReSAL in gaining community buy-in for project sustainability as it is part of the organization’s scope of work.
The SPC provided an overview of the project, highlighting that Bauchi ACReSAL would collaborate with GCCSO in community mobilization, sensitization, and other engagements to ensure the smooth implementation of ACReSAL activities in the state.

He stressed that teamwork and capacity development are keys to achieving greatness in whatever activities are engaged in.
Ibrahim Kabir further added that the ACReSAL project is Community-Driven Development (CDD) designed to address challenges bedeviling society, which emphasizes community ownership of the project for sustainability purposes.
He called on the GCCSO to exhibit expertise and professionalism while interacting with members of the communities.
In her response, Ms. Saudat Mohammed Abdullahi, the Project Manager of GCCSO, expressed gratitude for the opportunity given to the organization to interact.
She pledged to work towards achieving the target objectives, assuring the SPMU that her team is capable and ready to support Bauchi ACReSAL to achieve a sustainable environment.
