Bar owner murdered by epmloyee

A bar owner in the Anifowoshe area of Ikeja was over the weekend stabbed to death by people suspected to be members of staff of the popular bar.

The police in the state have begun investigations into the murder and have arrested the perpetrators of the devilish act.

The Metro gathered that the bar owner was late on Friday found in a pool of his own blood in his office at the bar, while, while his employees had all escaped in his car. It was gathered that the wife of the slain bar owner , who had tried in vain to contact his husband on the telephone had gone to the bar, only to discover that his husband’ s office was locked and he was not picking his calls .

The door was eventually forced open, when the woman raised the alarm and the lifeless body of his husband was discovered with deep cuts on his body. A resident of the area, who pleaded anonymity, while speaking with the Metro said “an air force officer said that he saw the bar attendants rushing out in their boss vehicle.”

He also added that “ Nobody suspected that anything had happened because the man had been sending them on errands with his vehicle but that day they all disappeared at once

He further stated “it was when the wife came to check on him that his body was discovered in the inner office and the door was locked from outside.

When contacted, the image maker in charge of the state police command, Olarinde Famous- Cole said that he was yet to be briefed on the incident. He however promised to get back to our correspondent after finding out but could not do so as at the time of filing this report.
