The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kogi state, on Monday said the recent outburst by the state deputy governor, Simon Achuba, on insecurity in the state has vindicated the party.
The party said the fragile security situation in the state under Governor Yahaya Bello, has been corroborated by the exposition of the deputy governor.
The PDP in a statement signed by its publicity secretary, Bode Ogunmola, and made available to journalists in Lokoja, the state capital, said the All Progressives Congress (APC) led administration had failed the state and the people.
The party added that by the open declaration of the complicity of Bello in the insecurity situation in the state during an interview by Achuba with journalists, the Bello led APC administration has failed and it should be sent packing in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
The party said it was obvious and clear to the world that the PDP was not just criticizing the government but rather was making a statement of fact that the government had brought poverty and hardships on the people.
“Apart from the fact that the state is been governed by inexperience young men, they also do not have human feeling. The Deputy Governor has confirmed that workers salaries were not paid and he scored the government low for non-performance.

“We, therefore, urged Kogi APC not to reinforce failure but to vote PDP come November 16th for freedom, liberty and progress”, the party stated.
According to the party, the deputy governor had shown to the world that governance is at the lowest ebb in the state in the last three and a half years.
It said Achuba was truthful when he said governance was being faked in the state as Kogi had retrogressed since Bello became governor, adding that the next election provides the opportunity for the people to install good leadership.
