R and B singer, Banky W, has said that the artistic community will continue to give the country a better name among the comity of nations even if government and leadership continue to fail the people.
Banky W, who is married to actress Adesuwa Etomi, stated this while congratulating Burna Boy on his recent Grammys nomination in the World’s Best Album category that was released some days back.
The singer-turned politician, who contested for the House of Representatives early this year, has been quiet since then with many of his fans asking what he could be up to and why he has stayed away from music for a long time.
Banky, it was learnt, has now turned his attention to acting as he has been part of a few movies that have been released in the last few months.
The singer has however said he had not turned his back on music despite featuring in popular movies such as Up North, Wedding Party, among others.
In his bid to assuage the fears of his fans, Banky W promised to release an album in 2020, adding that though government and leadership might have failed the country over the years, the narrative has been flipped by the artistic community.
“As the government and leadership continued to fail us, the artistic community kept pushing against all odds. Today, the narrative has been flipped and we remain the giants of Africa regardless,” he said.
