The Nigerian Army has reaffirmed its commitment to investing in commanders and security agents to enhance operational effectiveness.
Speaking at the 8 Division Operations Planning Cadre in Sokoto, Major General Ibikunle Ajose emphasised the importance of leadership in military operations.
He highlighted that improving leadership skills, particularly among junior commanders, aligns with the Chief of Army Staff’s training objectives for 2025.
Ajose noted that sound decision-making, confidence, and adaptability are crucial for mission success.
He stressed the need for inter-agency collaboration to address Nigeria’s security challenges, adding that no single agency can tackle these issues alone.
The five-day training program brings together personnel from the Army, Police, NSCDC, Customs, Immigration, Correctional Service, DSS, and other security agencies to enhance coordination and intelligence-sharing.
