Sequel to the verdict by the Appeal Court sitting in Yola, member representing Mubi North, Hon. Shuaibu Dan Musa, said the judgment has proved him innocent of the crime he was alleged to have committed.
Dan Musa of All Progressive Congress (APC) who is popularly referred to as Langa-Langa was dragged to court by the candidate of the Peoples Democracy Party (PDP) for allegedly faking a school leaving certificate.
Tribune Online recalls that Dan Musa approached the Appeal Court after the tribunal passed a judgment which was not in his is favour.
The headmaster of his former primary school, principal of the secondary school he graduated were in court as a witness while DSS report was also tendered in defence of Dan Musa.
Justice Chidi Nwaoma Uwa who presided over the case while delivering her judgment said Dan Musa owns a primary school certificate and, therefore, remains a duly elected member representing Mubi North.

In his response after the judgment, Hon Dan Musa returned “glory and honour to God who is the giver of power and fame.”
He, however, said he is indebted to his political godfather, Senator Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla Bindow who is the immediate past Governor of Adamawa State for making him who he is today.
“Whatever I am and whoever I shall be is because of Bindow who transformed me to my present status, I can’t thank him enough and I reserved an unalloyed loyalty and respect for him.”
He further appreciated the Appeal Court and described it as the last succour of the common man and truly the voice of the people, especially those that are voiceless.
“The judgment was unbiased to all party, I lost at the tribunal and the Appeal Court gave me back my mandate. This is to say that justice is undeniable if you are honest. My thanks is immeasurable to the Nigerian judiciary,” he added.
He called on his constituents to trust him the more and see the good representation he promised to give them.
