A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, Chief Daniel Okotete, has expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the party’s ward congress, saying the party will emerge tops at the 2023 general elections in the state.
Chief Okotete stated this while speaking with journalists at wards 9 and 10 Oghareki, Ethiope West Local Government Area of the state after last weekend’s APC national ward congress.
He commended the party faithful for participating actively in the exercise.
He attributed the peaceful disposition of the party’s members to the wisdom of the leaders at the national level who gave them the marching order to coordinate their people peacefully.
Chief Okotete assured Nigerians that “come 2023, the next governor of Delta State will emerge from the APC.
“I am appealing to Deltans to throw their weight behind the candidates of the party in the forthcoming general elections since the party has good intentions for the people of the state,” he averred.
Meanwhile, speaking with journalists in Jesse, the administrative headquarters of Idjerhe kingdom, Ethiope West Local Government Area of the state shortly after the election, the Caretaker Committee Chairman of the party, Comrade William Deniran, thanked all the delegates, electoral committee members assigned to the LGA, by the Acting Chairman Prophet Jones Erue as well as the INEC personnel who supervised the voting process for doing a good job.
“With the peaceful conduct of this election, we are sure of wresting the party from the ruling party in subsequent elections. My people should stand firm by supporting any candidate that will stand for election in the forthcoming elections. Victory is ours this time” he quipped.
The Ethiope West local government area INEC representative, Mrs Omor-Avwebor Grace also commended the exercise, saying, “I commend all those that participated in the election for their peaceful conduct which resulted in a successful exercise.”
Mr Usabor David, who emerged as the chairman of the party in Ethiope West, Ward 10, appreciated his people for the confidence reposed on him to serve, assuring that he will lead his people to victory in all elections,
He appealed to all his teammates to always give him maximum support so that he would operate an open-door policy of administration by carrying everybody along.
