The farming season for this year may start earlier than expected , so practising farmers should begin thinking of new innovative ways of cultivating their land, planting of seedlings, distribution and harvesting, taking note of the seasons of planting and studying the weather condition.
The way to go about this is for farmers to study the various demand and supply and also look for and adopt new innovative and technologically balanced methods of preservation, transportation, selling, storage and cultivation that will yields and lead to quality production of all forms of agricultural produce to enable them get bumper harvests and good profits.
The world is facing shortage of food, and with the continuous expansion of the human race, we need to rethink how we can produce sufficient food to help the peasant and commercial farmers by giving them farming inputs, extension services and teaching them simple technology of farm management, record keeping, harvesting, processing and preservation as well as helping them to acquire land and capacity building on land management. There is also the need to provide market for them as well as interest-free loans.
