Thank God for the successful launch of “Amotekun” in spite of attempts by some people to sabotage it. All those against it are perhaps those benefiting from the evil deeds. They must be enemies of Nigeria and the masses.
Let us pray that “Amotekun” will be a huge success. Security is a prerequisite to development. Having achieved a solution to security, there are still other areas of collaborations for example, education. The Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) can collaborate to build a world class university like Harvard, Eton etc.
They can also facilitate among states in the production of rice.
DAWN should as a matter of urgency go into these collaborations in order to speed up the development of our region. The old Western Region was in the past been a pacesetter for other regions.
It is now time to work together on hospitals so that our dignitaries will no longer travel out for medical treatments. The state can collaborate in agriculture using their comparative advantage to cultivate exportable crops in order to earn foreign exchange and to develop infrastructure. They can collaborate in other economic ventures like Odua Conglomerate.
All the above mentioned collaborations do not go against our constitution. There should be no going back in the efforts to make the region to be great again.
Marcus Jadson.
