Five cars that ‘died’ in 2023

Literally speaking, these five cars have got to the end of the road. They were beautifully designed and were excellent in movement. However, they are no longer available as they would not be seen at the showroom from 2024. In other words, their production has ended with 2023.
Manufacturers of various automobiles across the United Kingdom and other European countries have decided to cease production of these vehicles that were famous on the road. Among the manufacturers are Audi, Ford, Volkswagen, Volvo and others.
According to the Daily Mail of UK, some of the cars that ‘died’ in 2023 and will no longer be produced as from 2024 are listed below:

Ford Fiesta: Perhaps, the most significant car to get the boot in 2023 was the Ford Fiesta – Britain’s most-owned car and the country’s best-selling model of all time. On Friday July 7, Ford confirmed the final Fiesta had come off its assembly line in Germany, closing the chapter on what has become a legend, which will no longer be produced from 2024. It reportedly sold over 22 million of the Fiesta all over the world.

Audi R8: The Audi R8’s production dates back to 2007 and in last 16 years, it was able to cultivate a massive following and purchase. But in 2022, the German outfit confirmed R8 production would be coming to an end in 2023 as part of its wholesale shift to electrification. Its production has therefore ceased and would no longer be available from 2024.

Audi TT: The Audi TT officially died in 2023 with the German motor giant bidding farewell to the incredibly popular coupe. The TT, which was first produced in 1998, ceased production after a 25-year stint on sale that saw it become one of the most popular affordable sports cars in many countries.

Volkswagen UP: The German car manufacturer confirmed in October that it will cease production of its smallest and least expensive new car by the end of 2023 in the latest example of auto makers consolidating their model line-ups ahead of the transition to electric vehicles.

Therefore, the VW UP has officially been axed after 12 years of production.

Volvo S60, S90, V60 and V90: If you want any new Volvo from 2024, it certainly will have to be SUV. That’s because the Swedish manufacturer stopped all saloon and estate models from 2023. What this means is that you will certainly won’t be seeing the saloon and sedan types of Volvo in the showrooms from 2024.
