Speaking with the Nigerian Tribune on phone in Abuja, the spokesperson of the Abuja Environmental Protection Board, AEPB, Mr Murtar Ibrahim, said the agency was not aware of any incident like that.
According to him, “either earth tremor or massive explosion, I am not aware of that. In fact, you are just informing me and when I get back to the office tomorrow, I will investigate and get back. But now I cannot say anything on it.”
It will be recalled that some residents in Jabi, Katampe, as well as Gwarinpa and Maitama experienced vibration on Tuesday night. Some said it was earth tremor while others said it was aftershocks from a massive explosion.
