9th National Assembly: Rowdy session in Senate over standing order

There was a rowdy session following announcement by Clerk Omolori that Standing Order 2015 as amended will be used to elect Senate President and other presiding officers.
Clerk of the National Assembly, Mr Omolori told the Senators that he did not receieve any court ruling banning the use of the 2015 Senate Standing Order as amended.
He consequently ignored loud calls for the use of 2011 Rules.
He also said he would not entertain any further question on the matter again.
The Clerk of the Senate thereafter commenced the roll call of Senators elect beginning with Abia State.
