This can manifest differently in different people, but here are some common signs that may indicate someone is struggling with depression:
1. Persistent sadness
They may feel a deep sorrow, hopelessness, and helplessness that persists for weeks or months. This sadness is not the same as feeling sad or upset due to a specific situation, but rather a persistent feeling of sadness that doesn’t go away.

A balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, and proteins can help improve mood and energy levels. Avoid processed foods, sugar, and caffeine, which can worsen depression symptoms.
6. Engage in creative activities
Creative activities like art, music, writing, doing more of what you once found joy in.
