Over 500 Jigawa pilgrims stranded at Airport

NO fewer than 500 Jigawa state intending pilgrims were left stranded at Dutse International Airport by the MAX Air the state’s approved air lifting company.

Reports from the state indicated that the Jigawa state pilgrims welfare board and the MAX Air designed and agreed on three flight to airlifts the 1,485 pilgrims schedule to starts on 15th.

Findings by Tribune Online gathered that the state pilgrims’ welfare made an arrangements and called the intending pilgrims from 14 local government areas across the three senatorial districts of the state.

A source at the state pilgrims welfare board who prepared anonymity told Tribune Online in Dutse that Air carrier (MAX Air) latter change the first flight from 15th to 17th a situation force the board to change its earlier plan to march the Airways time.

When contacted the Public Relation Officer (PRO) to the MAX Air, Alhaji Ibrahim Dahiru on his mobile phone on the problem said “I’m now in Abuja, I don’t know actually what the problem is, let me call and find out”.

Alhaji Ibrahim Dahiru stated further that “I have to call them and hear from them. I will talk to you latter”, but up to the time of filing this report there is no response from the MAX Air PRO.

Also contacted the Public Relation Officer the Jigawa state Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Ibrahim Hashimu Kanya said “we did everything from our side, we are waiting the airway to bring the air craft to convey them”.

Alhaji Ibrahim Hashimu Kanya added that “you know them (Airways company) they have been saying soon, latter now but up to now as we are talking to you no fight. Our intending pilgrims were since ready waiting for them (MAX Air).

Investigation by Tribune Online revealed that there was a delay on the Kano state flits schedules that affected Jigawa state arrangement.
