A Coalition of thirty political parties in Sokoto State has thrown their full weight behind the Chairman of the Northern Senators Forum and Coordinator, North West, Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.
The political parties pledged their unalloyed loyalty to the undisputed leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the state, during a Solidarity Visit at his Gawon Nama, residence in Sokoto.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, Bashir Rabe Mani and issued to newsmen, in Sokoto, on Monday.
“We are happy and extremely convinced about the leadership style of the former Governor of Sokoto state and the incumbent Senator representing Sokoto North Senatorial District.

“We, under the formidable coalition will continue to support his endeavours and political leanings. This, we will do, a sequel to his unrelenting political sagacity, piety and patriotism,” the Spokesman of the Coalition, Alhaji Mujittaba Aminu, explained.
While responding, Senator Wamakko lauded the group of political parties for the invaluable gesture.
He further said as opposition parties, the political parties under the coalition owe it a duty to alert the state government whenever it goes astray, with a view to returning it to the right path.
This, he noted, is to facilitate good governance, equity, justice, accountability and transparency.
“As leaders of the opposition parties, you should continue to be diligent and prevent injustice against the people of the state by the State Government and make it more responsible.
“I am always ready to listen to your complaints, with a view to bolstering national development, peace and unity,” Senator admonished the visiting members of the Coalition.
The statement also disclosed some of the political parties under the coalition to include NPN, DPP, RPNP, PRP, GPN, SDP, LP, FRESH, NAC, GDPN, PPP among others.
