…as NNPP lawmakers set to defect to APC
National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has said former presidential candidate of the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, would soon be left with no choice but to join the ruling party.
Ganduje who incidentally served as deputy governor to Kwankwaso made the declaration on Tuesday when he met with members of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG) who paid him a courtesy visit.

Checks revealed that a serving Senator Sumaila Kawu and two members of the House of Representatives on the platform of the troubled NNPP met with Ganduje on Tuesday ahead of their formal declaration for the APC.
The duo are Aliyu Sani Madaki and Kabiru Usman Rurum.
The APC National chairman who maintained that the NNPC was dead also dismissed the unfolding coalition led by former Vice President and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in last general elections, Atiku Abubakar as dead on arrival.
He said, “The NNPP is dead. And it will soon be buried very, very soon. I’m hoping where we will put the dead body, the coffin has already been constructed.
“What remains now is to dig the grave. And already they are digging the grave very, very soon.
“Even like that, the so-called NNPP national leader, he too, he says after losing everyone, he wants to come back to us, we will welcome him, because he’s coming back home.”
Ganduje admonished the TSG to keep its doors open to all anxious to work for a fresh mandate for Tinubu.
