Leader of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Diaspora, Dr. Nwachukwu Anakwenze, became the latest aspirant to pick the expression of interest and nomination forms to vie for the presidential ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), declaring that he has better experience and credentials than others in the race.
Speaking after procuring the forms at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja on Monday, he challenged other presidential aspirants in the party including former vice president, Atiku Abubakar; Gov. Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, former Senate president, Bukola Saraki; Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State; former Secretary to Government of the Federation, Sen. Pius Anyim and Dele Momodu, to publish their achievements that put them in the right condition to become party’s presidential candidate.
The medical doctor, who boasted that he has over 4,000 employees in his medical facility in the United States, said he been a successful manager of men and resources.
According to him, the highest achievement of his rivals is their ability to distribute money at elections.
He said his agenda is to rebuild the country, turn it into a manufacturing hub and epicenter of business in Africa while exploiting the abundant potentials of the youth.
The presidential aspirant expressed confidence that any consensus arrangement will be in his favour as he pointed out that he has the quality that may be required under such arrangement.
He stated: “My idea is superior to all these people combined and I am more experienced and more qualified in education than them.
“I have three certificates – Ph.D in Medicine, Masters in Public Health and Masters in Business Administration. Tell them to bring their certificates to compare. Tell them to show me what they have built for themselves to run other than just getting a job, sitting down and collecting salary. What have they built for themselves? I will rebuild Nigeria using the young people.
“I am 10 times more qualified than many of them or all of them combined and I will tell you why. Since I came out of school, I employed 4,000 men in my company in America, 90% of them are whites from China and India. We provide health care for California.
“I have worldwide experience that these people do not have. All these people do is bring food, chop and share money.”
On what he would do if he becomes the president, he stated: “I will bring up the first 11 of our people and we will need to be one of the top countries in this world. We should be manufacturing trains and making motors, ships. God has given us more than He has given other people. We have everything, all the resources God gave to us. Our problem is leadership, poor leadership.
“We don’t have tornados or hurricane; we don’t have fire. God gave us everything, favored us but it is our people that are not taking care of the people.
“I will focus on the young people. I will educate them, train them, give them skills, give them money if they want to start their own business. I will do that with the government funds and we will focus on raising our young people so that they can raise their families and Nigeria will be in the top 10 countries in the world that its health care will be like American healthcare. Nobody we live here to go and get health care anywhere.
“I’m a medical doctor. There are 10,000 Nigerian doctors that want to come back home if they see real government.
“I am trained in business, I can run gas company, oil company, refineries. I am very experienced in business, I am a trained doctor, I have other companies and I work well with the different groups in America. So, in terms of experience, they don’t have much experience than me. In fact, medical doctors are the highest paid workers in America. That is if you can manage them and there’s nothing you cannot manage.”
The Anambra State-born presidential hopeful said that the South East has paid its dues for political stability in the country and now deserves to be allowed to produce the president.
“We have worked very hard to keep Nigeria united, we have built infrastructures, we have everything, we are the ones that live in every part of the country and speak the language of every tribe and develop the place, nobody else in Nigeria does that.
“If you give us a chance, we can make Nigeria a super power of the world. I am not talking about having power so that I can be sharing money. That is what they have been doing.”
