2019: Stop the hate speech, Sultan warns politicians

The Sultan of Sokoto, Alh  Sa’ad Abubakar has warned political class to concentrate on providing dividends of democracy to their citizens and stop the hate speech as the country is preparing for the 2019 general elections.
He made the observation while presenting his address at the Annual Pre- Ramadan lectures organised by the Jama’atul Nasirul Islam (JNI) in Kaduna on Tuesday.
The monarch contended that the attitude of the politicians is becoming worrisome and disturbing, especially what is happening in  Kaduna should stop.
He called on them (Kaduna politicians) to close their ranks and stop the hate speech because Kaduna is key to the survival of the region.
The Sultan also called for caution on the use of social media among the people as politicians would do everything to promote religious, tribal, ethnic sentiments.

Earlier, the Secretary-General of JNI, Sheikh Khalid Abubakar has called on the Muslim ummah to remain within the confines the teachings of the Prophet (SAW) during Ramadan.
He charged those who will be conducting tafsir(preaching sessions)  in Mosques to abide by the guidelines spelt out by JNI
The JNI scribe also called on the preachers to be cautious about the movement of shiah to Abuja and its environs, saying, they no longer use their black attire but disguise into the community.
‘The rise in bomb blasts in recent time is a wake-up call to the ummah and the need for adequate vigilance cannot be overemphasized. Hence, our tafsir centres should be well equipped with security gadgets and personnel to man the control of people during tafsir sessions, he declared.
