IN his resolve to win the 2019 presidential election, the candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Donald Duke, has picked Shehu Musa Gabam as his running mate.
According to a statement from the party, the choice of Shehu Musa Gabam was based on his political acumen, connection and doggedness to politics over the years coupled with the fact that he is young and energetic.
The statement further contained that Shehu Musa Gabam has done well in repositioning the SDP in his capacity as the National Secretary of the party in the last few months pointing out that his political acumen has brought many top politicians into the fold of the party across the country.

The SDP presidential campaign team believes that with the choice of Shehu Musa Gabam who is from the North-Eastern part of the country the party will pull weight in terms of votes from the entire Northern part of the country.
