I’ll reconcile with aggrieved aspirants —Akeredolu

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the forthcoming election in Ondo State, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu, has expressed his preparedness to reconcile with all the aggrieved aspirants in the party’s primaries.

Akeredolu, who made this known during a meeting with party members in Akure, the state capital, said the coming together of all the aggrieved aspirants would go a long way to secure victory for the party in the next month’s election.

Akeredolu stated that he was prepared to make personal sacrifice in closing ranks with those who contested the election with him to ensure that everyone comes on board to make APC secure victory in the November poll.

He urged the aggrieved aspirants to put behind them issues over the September 3 primaries and focus on victory for the party.

He promised to rule the state by consensus, a manner that would accord all members a good sense of belonging.

He said “I cannot do it alone. I cannot run it alone. It is by collective responsibility and I want to seize this opportunity to let you know that we will form the next government of Ondo State together.

“I urged you all to move out into the outer space to appeal to our aggrieved partners to put all issues behind them and come on board to make us run the next government of Ondo together.

“We have a common opponent, and that is the PDP. We shall win the election by a team work.”

He pledged to give priority to education if elected, saying his main preoccupation would be advancing the cause of education for capacity building as part of the agenda to create wealth and spread prosperity to the nook and crannies of the state within the shortest possible period.

He also promised to build infrastructure and other laudable programmes towards making the state first destination choice for investors.
