You shall experience no more pains, Alao Akala tells Oyo residents

Gubernatorial candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Alao Akala, on Monday, stated that his ambition to be governor again was hinged on his concern that the state had lost its pacesetter status, despite its abundant resources, and that residents of the state grappled with pains and hardship.

In a Christmas message he personally signed, Alao Akala called for introspection on the good governance he offered between 2007 and 2011, thereby stating that he was determined to take the state from nadir to the apex, in terms of good governance.

According to Alao Akala, the ADP offered the brightest hope for the future, calling on residents to vote his return to Agodi government house for a stronger and economically successful state.

Stating that he was worried that residents of the state had experienced pains for about eight years, Alao Akala said he, alongside his deputy, Abideen Olaiya, was on a mission to rescue the state from self-serving leaders.

“Christmas gives us the opportunity to pause and reflect on the important things around us. Just like you, fellow citizens, I acknowledge the worrisome developments in all the sectors of the Oyo State economy. I’m worried when my people are worried; I am happy when my people are happy.

“As we remember the good governance witnessed from 2007 to 2011 in Oyo State under my watch, I encourage you to remain strong in the face of hardships that the APC administration brings you since 2011.

“I offer to lead people of like minds to rescue Oyo state from the self-serving leaders under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“My dear people, the pains you have been experiencing in almost 8years, you shall see them no more when you give us your mandate in the 2019 elections. With ADP, you have a brightest hope for the future.

“We do not need a soothsayer to tell us that Oyo State has lost her status as a Pacesetter in the country despite our abundant resources. I am well determined to take the state from nadir to the apex of genuine governance AGAIN. Join me to build a stronger and economically successful Oyo State,” Alao Akala said.
