No fewer than 110 beneficiaries received financial support during the welfare and empowerment programme organised by Senator Solomon Adeola (Yayi) and the Minister of State for Health, Dr. Isiaq Salako, for residents of Ayetoro in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State.
In a release by the council’s Information and Public Relations Officer, Mr Lateef Akintunde, over ₦1 million was disbursed as cash gifts and other empowerment items to constituents.
According to the organisers, the initiative was aimed at alleviating economic hardship and supporting vulnerable members of the community.

Also, a chieftain of the forum, Alhaji Wahab Elegbede, enjoined beneficiaries to make a judicious use of the funds, adding that the Federal Government remains committed to improving the wellbeing of Nigerians through targeted social intervention programmes.
