Apart from this, the party also urged the people of the state to reject the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The state chairman of the party, Alhaji Alhasan Adakeke, said this in Lokoja, the state capital at the inauguration of the leaders of the stakeholders’ forum of the party.
According to him, the decision to challenge the move by the National Assembly was taken in the best interest of the country, adding that the action was to ascertain which arm of government has the power to make the pronouncement on the election.
He, however, said the allegation that the party was being used by the APC over the election reordering imbroglio was baseless, adding that the Accord Party was only interested in upholding the constitution of the country.
Speaking on the political activities in Nigeria, Adekeke regretted that the two main political parties have not lived up to expectations of the people, noting that there was the need to change the tide.

He particularly lamented the situation in Kogi state, where he said many people were regretting voting for the APC based on the abysmal performance of the federal and the state government.
The chairman said, “The sorrowful state of our state is no longer a story to recount, this is the time for action that will redeem the lost glory, revolution everywhere is led by a few for the betterment of the lots”.
He said the party in last general election had a good show, particularly in the Kogi west senatorial district election, alleging that it was rigged out.
