Why I celebrated widows, orphans —Ex-Ogun lawmaker

Former chief whip of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Honourable Atinuke Bello, has called on the people of the state not to relent in supporting Governor Dapo Abiodun so as to fulfill his electioneering promises.

Honourable Bello made the call during the distribution of foodstuffs like indomie, drinks, vegetable oil and other condiments, as well as cash gifts to widows and orphans to celebrate Christmas and the New Year.

Bello, in a statement signed by Mr Segun Oyesanwo, a copy of which was made available to the Nigerian Tribune, said, what she did was to put smiles on the faces of the beneficiaries to make them feel like they belonged in the society.

She appealed to the people to continue supporting the governor and pray for his success, adding that doing this will help him bring  dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of all and sundry in the state.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Lydia Oluwadamilola commended the former lawmaker for counting them worthy during the festive period.

Some of the beneficiaries are Rebecca Simisola, Ayisat Salami Bunmi Onasile, among others.
