The Management of the Continental Hotels Nigeria, owners of Lagos Continental Hotel and Abuja Continental Hotel has promised to redefine hospitality experience in Nigeria by offering the best and finest Nigeria and international style in culinary delight.
Speaking to selected journalists at the Lagos Continental Hotel, the Group General Manager, Continental Hotel Nigeria, Mr Karl Hala, said the Continental Hotels in Lagos and Abuja were positioned to writing a compelling story of Nigeria rich culture as well as recreating to be the conventional hub in Africa.
“What we do today is not just about luxury and lifestyle; it’s about the experiences we create and the memories we foster. This is largely due to our incredible team. Having 14 bright young individuals who genuinely care about others makes my job much easier.
“While the building itself is important, the key factor is our people. Regardless of how great our product is, if our team isn’t able to communicate that to our guests, we risk losing our impact. Our team is absolutely fundamental to our success, and we are fortunate to have such a dedicated group in Lagos.
“We are actively investing in creating memorable experiences at every level. Before our guests arrive, we ensure that we have the necessary infrastructure and sustainable practices in place, particularly as the world continues to develop. Sustainability is a focus for us; we are working with green energy solutions.
“Recently, we completed installations for gas-powered generators, ensuring that our electric and mechanical systems are well-controlled to minimise waste.
“Additionally, we have treatment plants in place to balance our environmental impact. Moving forward, we aim to maintain high standards of sustainability, and we are finalizing the installation of solar panels as part of our commitment to green energy.
Karl explained “It’s crucial for us to continuously develop our teams, as they are our greatest asset. This includes investing strategically in skill development and offering training through local and international academies, as well as providing on-the-job training. The future of our industry in Nigeria depends on creating motivation and inspiration among our colleagues.
“A happy team leads to happy guests, and in turn, happy investors. When our owners invest in our team and operations, we become more competitive. Our goal is to continually offer diverse experiences that resonate with our guests.”
Hala also added that “As we prepare for upcoming events, we are also focusing on developing our teams. With over 1,700 properties under the Continental Hotels brand, we aim to cultivate talent and provide excellent training opportunities, ensuring our employees can shine in their roles.
“We will continue to innovate while delivering memorable experiences that emphasise luxury and comfort.

Recently renovated, these spaces are among the best for conferences in Nigeria, ensuring that attendees enjoy both comfort and functionality.
