A fully loaded Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) bus overturned onto its side within the dedicated BRT lane along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway near Iyana-Ipaja, resulting in 10 casualties.
The accident, which occurred early Friday morning around 7:45 a.m., was confirmed by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

LASTMA, responsible for managing traffic and enforcing traffic laws in Lagos State, stated that emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene to provide medical assistance and transport the victims to nearby hospitals.
Details regarding the cause of the accident and the condition of the victims remain unclear.
Authorities have advised motorists to exercise caution while navigating the area.
